During my diploma at BCIT for Digital Design and Development, I was challenge to channel my education into a real-world project aimed at addressing the pressing challenges that today's adults encounter.

About

In a world where stressors seem to multiply by the day and the prevalence of mental health challenges continues to rise, it became increasingly evident that there was a critical need for a digital platform dedicated to providing the support and coping mechanisms necessary for individuals during their most vulnerable moments.

The vision behind Kalm was a response to a pressing societal need—a recognition that we must do more to support those struggling with their mental and emotional well-being. By offering a safe space for individuals to seek help and by providing them with practical tools to manage their stress and anxiety, Kalm endeavors to make a positive impact in the lives of countless individuals, reminding them that even in their darkest moments, there is hope, support, and a path towards healing.

What is Kalm?

Kalm is a web-application that creates a personal sanctuary for users who wishes to regulate their stress and anxiety. With wide range of tools and resources at the user’s fingertips, users can tailor their experience to suit their unique needs and preferences.

Some of the key features include:

  1. Stress Reduction Activities: Engage in a variety of stress-relieving activities, such as guided deep-breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation, and mindfulness practices. These activities can be accessed anytime, anywhere, whenever stress strikes.
  2. Panic Attack Relief: Kalm offers guided panic attack interventions that can help you regain control during moments of intense anxiety and panic. User’s can send out emergency help to their trusted contact and users can also contact crisis hotline from the web-app.
